Vaughan Metropolitan Center welcomes office development

The city of Vaughan has come up with a plan that it hopes will encourage major office development in the Vaughn Metropolitan Centre (VMC).

The Community Improvement Plan has been introduced to make the area more inviting to those looking for office space for their company.

The plan calls for incentives to be provided to businesses that choose to build in the VMC, and also highway 7 and Westin Road. A goal has been set to develop at least 1.5 million square feet, and it is hoped that this financial bonus will be very attractive.

The VMC has been designed to provide a variety of spaces, including commercial, residential and recreational. This can provide those who live there with a high quality of life, which can further draw development to the area. A printer can prepare full color Brochures and other materials that can market the area to companies both locally and further afield.

The VMC will be linked to the rest of the GTA via the TTC subway, and will be only the downtown core outside of Toronto itself to have its own subway station. This will provide easy access to those who commute back and forth for work or other reasons, and it will also put Union Station and Pearson International Airport within easy reach. It is expected to be up and running by December of 2017.
