Vaughan Canada Day celebrations to return in full

The City of Vaughan will be once again holding its traditional Canada Day celebrations this year, marking the country’s 155th anniversary.

The daytime event is aimed at families and will include activities such as arts and crafts, along with meet-and-greets with kid-friendly characters. A variety of interactive games will be on display, including giant-sized versions of popular board and yard games, ping pong and foosball tables, and video game stations under the “We Got Game!” brand. There will be a variety of acts and artists throughout the day, including the Kreative In Dance Styles (KIDS) troupe, a tribute show to Bob Marley, The Circus Lumberjack Show and stilt walkers wandering the park.

Headlining the day’s performances is Scott Helman, a seven-time Juno nominee from the Toronto area. There will also be a Food Zone home to food and drink trucks and stalls, and a Business Zone, where local businesses and customers can make connections. Festival-like events such as Canada Day celebrations can be major opportunities for local enterprises, often using Business Cards and other tools to make lasting connections. There will be a free shuttle bus service from the Al Palladini Community Centre to the event.

Vaughan’s official Canada Day 2022 celebrations will take place at Boyd Conservation Area, from 2 PM to 8 PM on July 1.
