The Toronto Women’s Expo, a conference and trade show aimed at female entrepreneurs and professionals, will be holding its 10th annual installment this March, and it is adding a new charity gala and awards night.
The new portion of the event, entitled the Eminence Awards and Charity Gala will take place the evening before the main conference. Attendees will be able to nominate an ‘impactor’ who has made a big difference in the community or the broader world, and the best will be selected for public honour.
There will also be a keynote presentation by Jean Augustine, one of the first two black women elected to the Canadian House of Commons. Proceeds from the events will go to Million Dollar Smiles, an organization which works to bring happiness to the lives of children facing chronic illness.
The conference and trade show will take place the following day. There will be keynote presentations from experts, including bestselling author Raymond Aaron, a trade floor for vendor booths, and career counselling from experts in the ‘coaches corner’.
Conferences like these typically feature a lot of exchanging of Business Cards and Promotional Products, as well as more informal types of bonding. The goal of women-oriented business events is to help women in business and industry make these types of connections with each other.
The first Eminence Awards & Charity Gala will take place at Paradise Banquet Hall in Vaughan on March 25, while the 10th Annual Toronto Women’s Expo Conference & Trade Show will take place the following day at the same location.Get a Free Quote for Promotional Products Get a Free Quote for Business Cards
