Vaughan-area group to hold traditional pancake fest

The Maple Lions Club will be holding its annual Pancake Festival this April for the 51st year running, with a traditional pancake breakfast, entertainment, and much more.

The event is designed to bring together people in Maple and nearby areas such as Vaughan and Richmond Hill. In addition to classic pancakes, with a variety of syrups and other topping options, there will be an accompanying festival complete with live entertainment. There will also be a craft fair with over 40 artisan vendors and local community groups. Vendors at fairs such as this often provide special discounts and Promotional Products as a way to connect with the community. Young visitors can enjoy a kids’ zone, with highlights including a miniature planetarium simulating a clear night sky.

The Festival will also be raising money for Vaughan Animal Services through ticket sales and other donation opportunities. It is one of the biggest annual events for the Lions Club, which works to benefit the town of Maple and the larger community in York Region through programs such as e-waste recycling. The Pancake Festival is put on largely with efforts from the community, with vendors and exhibitors also selected from local applications through an online form.

The 2024 Maple Lions Pancake Festival will take place on April 13 and 14 at the Maple Community Centre.
