Soccer tournament to debut in Vaughan

This summer will see a first-time sporting event hosted in Vaughan as the Adi-Cup welcomes soccer players of all ages for a one-day tournament.

The tournament is hosted by Adidas Woodbridge and is designed to coincide with the major international soccer tournaments taking place this summer. Participants must sign up as a team of 6-10 players that are at least 18 years old, with at least 2 female players per side. Teams will be provided with jerseys and play 45-minute matches on a half field set-up. There will also be live music and food and drink vendors from throughout Vaughan at pitchside. Promotional material states that the goal is to create a fun and friendly atmosphere:

“Join us for an unforgettable experience where soccer enthusiasts of all ages can come together to revel in the passion of the beautiful game. Whether you’re a player, a supporter, or simply looking to soak up the vibrant atmosphere, there’s something for everyone at ADI-CUP.”

There will be discounts offered for cleats and other soccer gear at the event. Live events like this are one of the tools that businesses and brands use to connect with the community, alongside methods like flyer printing and social media outreach.

The first Adi-Cup Soccer Tournament will take place on June 8 on York Regional Road in Woodbridge, Vaughan.
