Oncology care symposium scheduled for Vaughan area

An event has been planned for the Vaughan area that will provide, doctors, nurses and other healthcare professionals who have an interest in oncology with information about the latest trends in cancer treatment and care.

The 5th Annual Central Local Health Integrated Network (LHIN) Oncology Day for Primary Care Providers: New Frontiers will address the topic of cancer care from a variety of different standpoints. There will be a review of the current treatment landscape for commonly seen cancers, the relevance and application of genetic testing for these diseases. Long-term care plans and follow up for patients, home care, and the evolving role of the healthcare team will also be discussed.

Throughout the day there will be presentations by guest speakers, as well as breakout sessions and time for networking. Breakfast, lunch and refreshments will be served. Wide format printing can be used to create Banners, Signs and other materials for a large function such as this.

The symposium will take place at the Hilton Toronto/Markham Suites Conference Centre & Spa on November 18. It is located at 8500 Warden Avenue, and tickets for the day are priced at $125 for regular passes, while students, fellows and residents can attend free of charge.
