Motorcycle show to rev up in Vaughan area

The North American International Motorcycle Supershow will be returning to the Vaughan area this January, providing a wide assortment of vendors looking to appeal to motorcycle enthusiasts.

The Supershow, colloquially known and marketed as “The Big One By The Airport”, markets itself as being the largest such show in North America and runs across three days. The main attraction will be the showroom floor, with many vendors offering new and used bikes and motorcycle parts. There will also be hundreds of motorcycle-related organizations and events on the convention floor, looking to attract enthusiasts from nearby areas like Toronto and Vaughan.

The exhibits will be divided into halls, such as the Vintage and Classic Hall, with a “Century of Motorcycles” display and the Racing & Performance Hall, with a focus on sport bikes and motocross.

There will also be a number of competitive events throughout the weekend. The Canada Cup championships will see judges weighing in on show bikes, with $50,000 available in cash and prizes. There will also be the Motorcycle Awards of Excellence, otherwise known as the MAX Awards, presented in over 40 categories, as well as live music, special guests, a motocross “Stars of Tomorrow” event and a leather fashion show.

Motorcycling is a popular hobby in Southern Ontario, with local rides and other events often promoted through tools such as flyer printing and social media.

The 2022 North American International Motorcycle Supershow will take place at the International Centre in Mississauga from January 7 to 9.
