To keep local residents clued up on what is happening in city politics and what their tax dollars are doing for them, most mayors of major cities hold annual events in which they discuss the state of the city, to which everyone is welcome. This is no different in Vaughan.
The Mayor's Lunch in Vaughan will feature Mayor Maurizio Bevilacqua, who will be giving a progress report on his term so far and will outline what his vision for the city is. The luncheon, which is presented by the Vaughan Chamber of Commerce, will likely be of much interest to local business owners keen to find out what the Mayor is doing to help their business and improve the economy of the city.
The lunch will also be an excellent networking event for Vaughan area business leaders. Many attending are likely to be placing a business card printing order in advance, making sure they have enough cards to hand out and that their contact information is correct and up-to-date. It will be a good opportunity to increase their referral networks.
The 3rd annual Mayor's Lunch will take place at La Primavera Hospitality and Convention Centre in Woodbridge on January 23 from 11:30 am - 2:30 pm. Tickets are $50 for chamber members and $75 for non-members, while corporate tables of 10 are available to members for $500 and non-members for $750. Those planning to attend must register before January 20. For more information, call 905-761-1366.
