The one-day festival expects thousands of visitors and dozens of vendors, attractions, and performers. Live acts will present Latin music and dance styles ranging from mariachi to salsa and flamenco. Featured artists include the Orquesta Charles y Sus Estrellas, Alexis Martinez, and Diego MX. There will be an array of food and drink vendors offering items such as tacos, empanadas, and ceviche.
Promotional material emphasizes the cross-cultural nature of the festival:
“As you mingle you'll witness the unifying force that music, dance, and shared experiences can bring. It's an opportunity to embrace diversity, foster understanding, and create lasting connections that transcend language and borders.”
The Latin Festival will also include a Kid’s Zone with activities aimed at younger visitors, including a miniature water park. The festival will also be hosting a soccer tournament for players 13 years and up. Cultural events such as this, often advertised through colourful flyer printing and social media, help to showcase the tremendous diversity in Vaughan and the Greater Toronto Area as a whole. Fuerza Latina also hosts Spanish-language concerts and other events related to Latin American culture throughout the ear.
The 2023 Vaughan Latin Festival will take place throughout the day on July 15 at Mackenzie Glen Park in Maple.
