Latest Vaughan seminar to weave the wonders of the web

The Vaughan Business Enterprise Centre is presenting the next in a series of seminars at Vaughan City Hall in November. Admission to the seminar, entitled ‘A world wide web of opportunity’, is free of charge.

The seminar will be presented by George Giantsopoulos of Reality Business Consulting. Those attending will learn about Giantsopoulos' five guiding principles for creating a "profitable website strategy". They will also learn the basics of search engine optimisation (SEO) in order for their website to be found by those searching for information, how to convert visits to a website into sales, and how to create and promote an online brand.

The seminar will demonstrate how important it is for a company to have an online component to its marketing and how that presence can result in great business success. In addition to a website, many businesses also have profiles on social networking sites, such as Facebook and LinkedIn. Since the Internet is often the first place people look for information, it makes sense to have an online presence, and it is hoped that this seminar will show entrepreneurs how to become successful online.

The seminar will also be an excellent networking opportunity for Vaughan businesspersons. Those attending will most likely be arranging for business card printing in advance of the seminar, ensuring their contact information is up-to-date and that they have enough cards to exchange with others. They will need to do this in by November 14, when the seminar takes place between 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm.
