Holiday display returns to local golf club

York Region’s Angus Glen Golf Club will be welcoming in the holidays this December with a special festive attraction.

Called Fairway of Lights, the attraction is an illuminated walking path stretching a kilometre, which takes guests around the course. The path will be lined with holiday lights and displays aiming to create festive enchantment. There will also be special activities available each night, including visits from Santa Claus, a special Holiday Train and live entertainment. Among the live acts are North Fire Circus, Poi Entertainment, Look Up Theatre aerialists, and the almost three-metre-tall LED robot TI Bot. Children might also run into one of their favourite pop-culture characters on the Fairway.

The Fairway will also include hot food and drinks from food trucks, including Prince Edward’s Fries and Sixty Six Brix. Visitors can take a picture at the Boler Photo Booth or play games inside the Partycade trailer. Many outdoor areas have added interactive walking attractions such as this during holidays and special occasions in recent years, from spooky October mazes to festive forests advertised through roadside banner printing and social media photography. Fairway of Lights will look to bring in families celebrating the holidays from across York Region and the Greater Toronto Area, including nearby areas like Vaughan.

The Fairway of Lights display is open on select dates between November 25 and December 30 at Angus Glen Golf Club in Markham.
