A group is calling for help from the residents of Vaughan, Markham, and Richmond Hill to make a donation to help seniors who are isolated from friends and family this holiday season.
Qualicare, a private homecare company that provides its services to seniors and their families throughout the community, is attempting to help bring some cheer to lonely seniors. It is putting together holiday stockings filled with small gifts intended to bring a smile to each recipient’s face.
The organization is accepting donations until December 15th, and is hoping that the public will help by contributing items like Christmas stockings, candy canes, Chanukah baskets, chocolates, candy canes, toiletries, puzzles, puzzle Books, playing cards, Stationery items, gift cards, hats, mittens, and scarves.
Anyone wishing to drop off an unwrapped gift of one of these items can do so at Qualicare’s Head Office at 7620 Yonge Street, Suite 300.
On December 16th, a stocking-stuffing party will be held, where volunteers will prepare the gifts for giving and experience treats of hot chocolate, cider and carol singing.
An idea like this can make the holiday season that much brighter for a senior who’s on their own. Stationery printers can play a part by printing pretty cards to be included with each stocking. These can feature the recipient’s name to give them a personal touch.Get a Free Quote for Books Get a Free Quote for Stationery
