Career fair headed to Vaughan

Jobs Canada will be hosting its biannual Vaughan Career Fair this February, aiming to connect major companies with prospective employees.

The Career Fair will consist of a show flow with booths set up by employers, as well as specialists in career development, entrepreneurship, and continued education from across the province. Previous editions’ exhibitors have included Bell, the Canadian Institute for Health Information, the Government of Canada and American Income Life. Admission is free for jobseekers, who can talk with representatives and use resumes and Business Cards to make connections. The fair will include businesses from a multitude of different areas, with no specific profession or experience level required.

The Fair is hosted by Jobs Canada, which hosts over 75 events a year across 35 Canadian cities, as well as virtual job fairs. It describes themselves as hosting “Canada's most established and most attended Physical and Virtual Career Fairs in the country.” The Vaughan fair will be an in-person event.

The company also maintains a public jobs board on its website. A return event is already planned for this August, with additional stops around the Greater Toronto Area throughout the year. Fairs such as this are frequently attended by recent graduates as well as people of all ages looking for a change in their career.

The Vaughan Career Fair is set to take place on the afternoon of Thursday, February 9, at the Borgata Event Centre.
