Italian Car Day will be returning to Vaughan this August, bringing together the city’s large Italian-Canadian community with car lovers of all stripes for a good cause.
The one-day event will serve as a showcase for owners of prestigious Italian car brands such as Ferrari, Lamborghini, Alfa Romeo, Fiat and more to show off their rides and see what others have been driving. Car owners can register in advance and park their rides on the lawn to compare with similar automobiles.
The event will be complemented by musical entertainment and food inspired by Italy and its culture. Italian Car Day boasts of being the largest gathering of its type in Canada, and has held eight previous successful instalments.
As with previous editions, Italian Car Day 2022 will benefit a charitable cause. This year will see proceeds go to Creating Alternatives, a program helping adults with developmental disabilities in the Greater Toronto Area develop life skills. The past eight instalments of Italian Car Day have raised over $500,000 for the Safehaven Project for Community Living, providing residential care for children with multiple disabilities. Charitable events such as these often draw on community efforts ranging from volunteer staff to promotional items from local Print shops.
The 2022 Italian Car Day will take place at Boyd Conservation Area on Sunday, August 7.
