Toronto gardeners invited to become pollinator friendly

Southern Ontario is home to many species of birds and butterflies, and an upcoming Toronto workshop will provide tips for attracting them to a garden.

Toronto Botanical Garden is offering members of the public the opportunity to learn how easy it can be to create a garden that welcomes pollinators and other wildlife. It will be filled with tips its organizers feel will be easy for the budding green thumb to implement in their own plantings, and it has a run time of one hour.

The session’s facilitator will introduce the audience to a variety of plants that are attractive to wildlife, such as bees, butterflies, beetles, moths, birds and other pollinators. They will discuss how these can also provide pest control services, and tips for site selection will be shared as well. Both Garden members and the general public are welcome to take part. At the time of writing, its registration system was still open.

Many gardeners appreciate the chance to pick up some new knowledge and skills, and a workshop offers them the chance to do so. Learning materials for an event like this can be prepared by a flyer printing company.

The team at Toronto Botanical Garden has scheduled this event for April 24th, starting at 6:30 pm. It will be taking place at 777 Lawrence Avenue East.
