A wide variety of species of waterfowl and other birds call Mississauga their winter home, and an upcoming tour will soon be paying them a visit.
J.C. Saddington Park will soon be visited by the participants in a birding walk that will be led by Greg Laverty. He has a lot of experience when it comes to viewing the birds that call Riverwood home, and he enjoys sharing his knowledge.
The attendees will be birding along the shoreline, and along with the species that make the venue their permanent or winter home, there may be ones passing through on their migration north, making it an opportunity for the participants to possibly spot a “lifer”. Everyone is asked to bring along their own binoculars, as they will not be provided. The tour will take place rain or shine, and everyone should dress for the weather.
The public may appreciate the opportunity to get back to nature, and a tour or walking workshop led by a subject matter expert gives them a chance to do so while also learning more about the natural spaces in the local area. Print shops can supply items such as species checklists, birding Journals paired with promotional Pens and other materials to distribute during an activity like this.
Tickets for this morning of birding at J.C. Saddington Park will begin at 8:30 am on March 25th. Tickets can be purchased through the Riverwood Conservancy website.Get a Free Quote for Journals Get a Free Quote for Pens Get a Free Quote for Print
