Mississauga venue runs chef workshops for teenagers

A restaurant in Mississauga will dispense a four-week basic chef course for teenagers.

The four Saturday workshops will introduce young cooks aged 13 to 17 to a professional kitchen environment. During the event, participants will receive roughly 12 hours of hands-on instruction under the guidance of Culinaria’s chefs.

The curriculum focuses on foundational culinary techniques. The teenagers will begin with kitchen management, basic knife manipulation, utensil use and preparation routines. Attendees will then progress to creating their own salads and vinaigrettes, including emulsions, while exploring flavours and other sauces. The course also explores breakfast preparation, butchering skills and the development of side dishes like fresh pasta, potatoes and other carbohydrate-based accompaniments.

Designed as an introduction to cooking, the program will equip participants with the knowledge and experience to continue into the organizer’s advanced culinary curriculum, for individuals exploring chef-related careers. The structure is meant to give adolescents confidence in a professional setting, equipping them with essential kitchen skills they can apply at home or in future gastronomic training.

Local printing services can businesses like this one, producing booklets that support workshops, classes and other learning activities.

Culinaria’s Teen Chef: Basic workshops will take place at 5732 Kennedy Rd, Mississauga, on consecutive Saturdays starting on January 10, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Culinaria will provide all the equipment, aprons and ingredients necessary for the workshops.
