Upcoming festival looking for vendors and volunteers

Italfest is taking place this August in Mississauga, and is expected to attract approximately 12,000 visitors.

The theme of this year's festival is "Ferragosto in the City". The event will feature plenty of Italian food, wine, cultural performances, dance, and music. There will also be children's activities and a vendors’ market. Visitors are encouraged to bring their own chairs, as seating is limited. The festival is free but donations will be very welcome to ensure that it returns next year.

Organizers are currently looking for commercial, arts and crafts, and food vendors and volunteers to help run the festival. Commercial vendors can rent a 10x10 foot booth for $383 and artisans can rent the same booth for $276. Food vendor fees vary depending on whether they are classed as ‘major’, ‘minor’ or ‘mobile’. Volunteers are wanted to act as greeters and runners, or part of the maintenance and clean-up crew.

This event should be a major one for Mississauga vendors or artists who wish the showcase their items. Many may contact local printing companies to provide them with materials such as Banners and Signs, making their booths more attractive to passers-by.

Italfest will be held at Celebration Square in Mississauga on August 9th from 12:00pm - 11:00pm. To find updated details about the festival, to become a volunteer, or to apply to become a vendor, visit the official event website.
