Over the holiday season, Mississauga residents were given an opportunity to enjoy free skating at nine different area arenas.
The free skate was hosted by the Tim Hortons Restaurant chain as part of its ‘Free Holiday Skating Program’. There were 50 free sessions in total, each of which lasted 90 minutes. The event was also held at 350 different ice rinks in 175 different regions across Ontario and Quebec.
Store owner Dave Hoey commented that he was happy to be able to help host the skate, as it was a way to thank his loyal customers for their patronage throughout the year. The company noted that it provides people with a chance to take a break from their busy holiday schedule and enjoy spending some recreational time with their friends and family.
The tradition of the free skate began back in 1993 in Burlington, and has continued to grow ever since. It is also offered at other times through the year, such as during March Break.
A free event such as this not only provides a way to show customer appreciation, but can also help to build good relations with the community. This, in turn, can help to build a company’s customer base. A printing firm can create and Print promotional items for the events, such tickets, tags, and specially printed coffee and hot chocolate cups.Get a Free Quote for Print
