Graphic Monthly and Design Edge Canada have honored Print design this week, distributing the Regional Design Awards (Reggies) in the province of Ontario, including Toronto and GTA areas such as Mississauga. Print design entries from other regions in Canada were also recognized for excellence in design. The Regional Design Awards were produced by Design Edge Canada.
A wide range of print design was acknowledged in the Regional Design Awards, including Packaging, business card printing, poster printing, magazine and newspaper design printing, and printed ad campaigns.
Among some of the Atlantic Canada entrants were finalists recognized for business card printing, as well as Posters and report printing. Quebec saw submissions for Invitations and print design as well as product packaging.
In Ontario, a print-based company from the Ottawa area was named among finalists for its packing and print design and a student from Canadore College in North Bay was a named finalist for a typography calendar. In the Ontario Horseshoe area, there were lots of quality entries for print design as well, including a Stationery set and Fall 2012 Ripzone catalogue, as well as poster printing of Limelight Advertising & Design’s Empty Bowls.
