The heads of Stationery printing companies in Mississauga will be interested to note that one of their own has been named to a symbolic officer position at an American association. The CEO and president, Jeff Ekstein, of Ontario’s own Willow Printing Group, which has its operations based in Concord, has been appointed secretary of the Printing Industries of America trade association. His installation occurred on November 14 as part of a ceremony that took place in San Francisco, California, at the Printing Industries’ Fall Administrative Meetings.
Ekstein has been in the Print industry for quite a long time—since he was only a child. As the owner of Ontario’s Willow Printing Group, he is actually the third generation in his family to own said printing shop. Beginning work at Willow Printing Group since he was merely 10 years old, Ekstein has done basically everything that is plausible to carry out in a printing shop.
In 1983, Ekstein graduated from Toronto’s York University after receiving a degree in economics and business; he then went on to undertake NAPL’s and York University’s Graphic Arts Certified Executive program. While the head of Willow Printing Group, Ekstein has bought a Mailing shop and also been in charge of leading the purchase of a few print companies over the last few years.
Stationary printers in Mississauga will hopefully benefit from increased interest in what they have to offer following the spotlight being turned on them in light of Ekstein's appointment to this illustrious position.
