Mississauga to welcome retro gaming festival

Fans of vintage video gaming will be immersed in everything from consoles to cartridges and lots more during an upcoming Mississauga festival.

For one day in early August, the Mississauga Convention Centre will be the place to be for fans of retro gaming, as well as lovers of cosplay, comics and other collectibles. The GAMEX: Gaming Reimagined event will have lots on offer for casual and hardcore gamers alike, and all ages are welcome.

The organizers of the occasion want to make it as welcoming as possible, and members of the public with special needs are encouraged to attend. The plans for the day include a trade show area with hundreds of vendors, gaming tournaments and a free play area. To help build an atmosphere that is fun and exciting, anyone who arrives in cosplay costume will be allowed to enter free of charge. Tickets will be available both in advance and at the venue door.

Assistance from volunteers will be greatly appreciated, and this will help to make the occasion a success. Promotional Products and other swag is often distributed to attendees at functions like this.

The GAMEX: Gaming Reimagined event will be held on August 7th. It will kick off at 11:00 pm, before wrapping up at 5:00 pm. Kids aged 12 and under can enter for free.
