Mississauga to host tree climbing competition

The International Society of Arboriculture provides those who work in the tree care sector with opportunities for professional development, as well as networking and other activities, and one of these will welcome members of the public this fall.

The Ontario Tree Climbing Championship takes place once each year, and it will be held in Mississauga’s RK McMillan Park. Spectators are welcome to attend free of charge, and there are two days on the agenda.

The friendly competition will see area arborists show off their tree climbing skills in a variety of events, and competitors will be coming in from across the province. An outdoor trade show will be set up that will showcase the industry, and everyone can try climbing at the station that will be on hand. Information about chainsaw maintenance and safety, as well as demonstrations, have been planned, and when it is time for a bite to eat, there will be a selection of food trucks parked at the venue.

When preparing for a competition like this, organizers may find themselves in the market for custom awards that feature a special Logo Design or other graphics to distribute to the winners.

The 2024 Ontario Tree Climbing Championship will take place on September 20th and 21st. Both days will run from 10:00 am until 4:30 pm at RK McMillan Park.
