As Mississauga gardeners wake up their beds for another season, they are invited to take advantage of an online opportunity to discover how they can create a landscape that welcomes pollinators and other wildlife.
During this webinar, the public can find out how easy it can be to choose native plants that can attracts bees, butterflies, birds, beetles and even bats. Many of these also pollinate flowers, and can be an important part of growing fruit and other food crops.
Participants will learn how to choose healthy native plants, and also where they can obtain them for their own property without having to take them from the wild. As an additional incentive, Fletcher’s Creek SNAP residents who register for this opportunity will be invited to sign up to receive up to three native plants for their own garden.
While this event was originally intended to be delivered in person, in response to the Covid-19 pandemic, it has been converted to an online format. In order to promote online courses and classes, organizers can send leaflets and Flyers in the post and these can be sourced from local Print shops.
The Landscaping for Pollinators workshop will be on offer on May 26th. Registration is required, and the class will begin at 7pm. The link to register can be found on the Credit Valley Conservation website.Get a Free Quote for Print Get a Free Quote for Flyers
