A camp is hoping to make the kitchen fun for kids in Mississauga this summer, and it will combine food, fun and making new friends.
Though an important like skill, cookery is rarely taught in schools. The campers who participate in the ”Let’s Do Lunch” half-day summer camp will learn some of the basic skills involved in cooking, and they will also find out how easy and tasty it can be to make healthy eating choices. The dishes they prep will be kid-friendly, and both snacks and lunch will be provided.
The campers will be taught a variety of techniques, and safety in the kitchen will be emphasized. They will also be spending part of their time outdoors, and there will be challenges and other fun that can help to get their creative juices flowing.
Planning an activity like this can be made a lot easier thanks to the assistance of a printing services company. It will be able to provide everything from uniforms for the staff and campers, to certificates and even a cookbook that can be presented to each child at the end of the week.
This culinary-themed summer camp is scheduled to run from July 13 until July 17. The venue for the activity can be found at St Bride's Church in Mississauga.
