Local newspaper acquires new color commercial printing press

The Buffalo News, a local New York newspaper, recently bought itself a color commercial printing press. By way of this new press, the newspaper envisions that it will be able to improve its capability to Print reports, Brochures and even Postcards, the same kind of postcards that companies which offer postcard printing in Mississauga deal in.

According the president of the Buffalo News, the acquisition of the new color commercial printing press was done primarily to make it a more competitive newspaper in the local, New York marketplace. Their customers come first, and a new printing press translates to a broader and a wider range of services that the paper will be capable of offering to its readers.

Cost savings are also another benefit of the color commercial printing press’ arrival, as now the paper can finally print some of its own products that it had previously outsourced to local businesses to handle. For example, it can currently begin to compete for printing work that had previously been off-limits to it, such as catalogs, annual reports, Posters and even Menus.

The Buffalo News went back to German manufacturer Koenig & Bauer AG for their new printing press, the same company that made the paper’s old newspaper printing presses, which it installed in 2004.

Overall, the acquisition of the paper’s new color commercial printing press will simply work towards expanding its reach and business. With its new capability to print brochures, reports and postcards—just like the companies that already do postcard printing in Mississauga—the Buffalo News feels it is poised for healthy, future growth.
