Nearly 10,000 people came out to take part in the annual Mississauga Marathon, and according to reports, they all had a good time.
The overall fastest runner was Ottawa’s Patrick Kelley, who clocked in at 2:47.49, which put him 10 seconds ahead of his closest competitor Alec Braithwaite. The top female runner of the day was Sharlene Cobain, who completed the course in 2:55.07, which earned her the fifth place overall.
This was the 12th year for the race, and it attracts runners from all over the province. It’s hosted by the Landmark Sport Group and consists of seven different events, such as the full marathon and half marathon, and a friendship run.
The routes wound through some of the most scenic areas in the city, such as along the waterfront and the Credit River. Brochure printers can Print maps for those who will take part in the day’s activities, as well as the general public. These can show the routs and also which roads will be closed, where participants and spectators can find parking, and where the best places are to cheer the runners on as they go by.
According to Lucas McAneney, who won the half marathon, taking part was enjoyable and it helped him to train for the upcoming Ottawa Marathon, which is scheduled to take place later this spring.Get a Free Quote for Print
