Asian Pulp and Paper Canada appoints new Director of Sales

Printers and companies offering printing services may be interested in learning that Asian Pulp and Paper Canada (APP) has recently appointed Glenn Clifford to the position of director of sales for its Canadian offices.

For printing services companies and those who have relationships with suppliers in the pulp and paper industry, APP is a market leader and ranked one of the largest vertically integrated pulp and paper producer in Asia currently expanding in Canada. Principal operations are located in Indonesia, although the company does market its products to more than 100 countries in six continents.

Recent acquisitions and expansions of several pulp and paper mills have brought APP to Canada. Ecological sustainability is a sensitive and serious issue for APP, who have recently announced that five of its pulp and paper mills have successfully attained Chain of Custody (CoC) certification under the LEI certification program.

More than 1.5 million hectares of forest in Indonesia is certified under the program, which consists of natural production, plantation, indigenous people and community-based forest.

APP’s Canadian brands sold to Print companies in Mississauga and Brampton consist of Multi Usage Paperline, Enova PEFC certified sustainable paper, Inspira Premium Offset and Riviera.

Clifford brings over 25 years of senior management and expertise in the paper industry to his current expansionist role as director of sales for Canada. Clifford’s new appointment is only one of a series of hires for APP, which seeks to make inroads into the Canadian pulp and paper market.
