An American study has revealed that the Print and its use in industry is still held in very high regard, especially when considering the efficacy of advertising, recent surveys by Readex research has revealed.
The study garnered 2,095 responses from American professionals revealed that professionals turn first to search engines and then print industry publications and magazines in their own fields as the next reliable source of printed media.
Similar conclusions can also be drawn in Canadian professional sphere. The print industry and printing companies in Ontario are concentrated in the Toronto and GTA areas like Mississauga, where many businesses are headquartered. The results of the study indicate that despite the vast sources of media, diversifying and focussing on many different mediums improves marketing for businesses.
One of the most effective media Forms revealed in the study is print, 74% of respondents ranking they used print publications regularly. This response ranked second place and was tied with e-newsletters that also received 74 percent of the popular vote. The high prominence of print is reassuring news to companies who may be struggling to feel relevant in a generated dominated by digital technology. Print, it seems, is around to stay and digital media is not replacing print editions of magazines any time soon.
The study results were collected by Readex Research over a seven month period, from September 2010 and May 2011. The results are expected to help publishers prove to advertisers that one form of media is in no danger of replacing another.
