The Royal City Romance book event will make its premiere in Guelph this month, looking to showcase romance fiction and local writers.
The event will feature notable authors in the genre from Canada and internationally, who will be available for meet and greets and book signing. Featured authors include Brooklyn Cross, Elayna R. Gallea, Maggie North and Niccoyan Zheng. Readers can also shop from themed vendors like the Fandom Décor Shop and Fandom & Fantasy Creations, or connect with the Guelph Public Library.
The show floor will feature the Hopeless Romantic on-site bookstore for those looking to find a new read or catch up on the classics. General admission ticket purchasers will get early admission to signings and also receive a “sag bag” with romance-related promotional items. Authors often use bookmarks, branded accessories and other Promotional Products to help raise awareness of their stories.
For VIP attendees, the evening will conclude with a buffet dinner and after party. The party will take the form of a Halloween-themed costume ball, with a DJ, photo opportunities, and a cash bar. Show guests will also include romance “influencers” from social media platforms. There will be a hotel room block available to conference attendees.
The Royal City Romance event will take place on October 31 at Delta Hotels Guelph Conference Centre. Attendance is for adults only.
