The stage show features stand-up and skits from series stars Mark Forward and Jeff McEnery, who will be performing in character as Coach and Alexander. The Guelph show will also feature appearances from series writers Olivia Stadler and Allie Pearse. The tour will follow the release of the streaming series’ twelfth and final season, and act as a way for fans to see their favourite characters and the show’s distinctive dialogue and sense of humour one more time, as stressed by promotional material:
“Letterkenny has quickly become a cult favorite on both sides of the border, a loving send-up of life in rural Canada.”
The tour will include stops in both Canada and the US, where the series has also picked up a cult following. Guelph is one of just four locations in Ontario, with the show also visiting Chatham, Sudbury and Pickering. Stage shows like this are a popular way for fans to experience a favourite show in the new way, as well as for TV stars to get back to their live comedy roots, and are often promoted with flyer printing, local media appearances, and other promotional tools.
The Letterkenny Tour will visit Guelph on February 12, 2024 at the River Run Centre.
