Those who appreciate local fresh produce and wish to support their local food producers are being invited to visit a new website dedicated to supplying the people of Guelph and Kitchener.
This virtual farmers’ market, which has been dubbed The Sustainable Market, has been designed to make it quick and easy for farmers and customers to connect at their own convenience. Users can go on the site, browse the vegetables, fruit, meats and other items for sale, and then have two days to decide what they would like to purchase.
To use the service, customers sign up each week and then they can see what is available, which will likely change based upon what is in season. After they have placed their order, the food is brought to the Kortright Presbyterian Church each Friday where it can be picked up.
