The 35th annual Hillside Festival is taking place next month for three days.
The festival is set to feature over 70 performers on five stages. The children’s Rainbow Stage will have The Funny Mamas, Flay and Fluffy's Storytime, and Al Simons among others. There will also be a Spoken Word Stage that will feature poets such as Britta B., Eitan and Luke, Robert Priest and the Toronto Poetry Slam Team. Among the musical performers who will be appearing on the other stages will be the Birds of Bellwood, Cecile Doo-Kingue, Five Alarm Funk and The Huntress, and Holder of Hands.
There will also be plenty of food and drink available for purchase, along with local craft beer and cider.
Other activities will be taking place at the Wild Children’s Area and in the Artisan Market, the latter of which will feature local artists who will be selling their homemade items such as jewelry, fine art, ceramics and clothing.
No doubt organizers have already been working with a Guelph poster printing company to design Posters that can be distributed in the community to advertise this popular summer event.
The Hillside Festival will be held on the Island in the Guelph Lake Conservation Area from July 13 to 15. Call 519-763-6396 to learn more about the event including the price of tickets.
