Market offers last chance to buy Christmas gifts

The Merry Maker Night Market is taking place in Guelph shortly before Christmas, offering a chance for locals to finish off their seasonal shopping.

The Guelph Farmers’ Market will be transformed into a holiday market just for the evening. It will feature all of the regular vendors and some new ones especially for the holidays. They will be selling items such as local produce, meat and cheese, along with handmade items such as jewelry, clothing and artworks all appropriate for gift giving;. There will also be baked goods available for purchase, and holiday drinks to enjoy.

An outdoor pavilion will be set up with picnic tables and heaters so families can have a rest or a snack, and four food trucks will be on hand to provide meals and treats. There will also be a free photo station available for use so that families can pose for Christmas pictures. In addition, the Royal City Ukulele Ensemble will be performing from 7:00 to 8:00 PM.

The Farmers’ Market always attracts a lot of attention from the Guelph community. Organizers may distribute flyers that were purchased from a local Stationery printing company.

The Merry Maker Night Market will be held at the Guelph Farmers’ Market on December 20 from 4:00 to 9:00 PM. Admission is free of charge. For more information, call 519-822-1260.
