The movement dedicated to buying only local food and produce seems to be growing in popularity every year. With this in mind, the Guelph Wellington Local Food Networking Event brings together producers, shareholders, and sellers of locally produced goods.
The event, which is presented by Taste-Real, is a business-to-business forum allowing those involved to discuss the future of the movement and how best to get items to the public.
The afternoon will consist of keynote speakers, presentations, panel discussions, a trade show, and networking. Guests will also have the chance to sample local beer and wine and will be served appetizers during networking sessions. The keynote speaker will be Dr Martin Gooch of the George Morris Centre. Discussions will include learning about future consumer trends and information about Local Food Value chains.
Many of those attending will no doubt wish to pass on what they have learned to their customers and to the general public. This could be achieved with the help of Guelph printing companies, which can design and create informative literature about the local food movement. For example, Flyers could be produced inexpensively and distributed throughout the area. Booklets can be created and handed out to customers detailing what the movement is about and how it helps them.
