A little extra printed signage will be visible to LCBO shoppers in Guelph this week, as the “discover” Ontario Pinot Noirs spotlight continues this week. Poster printing and signage will focus on the Pinots made as roses, reds, and sparklers this Saturday, September 15, with clients able to sample and vote for the one they like best.
The event will take place at Guelph LCBO at 615 Scottsdale Drive, between the hours of 11:30 am and 4:30 pm. Proceeds of the $10 taster tickets purchased in-store will go to the United Way’s Guelph branch. Several winemakers will also be present to answer tasters’ questions about their product and winemaking in general and hopefully influence customer votes on the best Pinot Noir.
The featured 10 wines are also available on the LCBO general list, with a couple sold in their Vintages section, but will get extra colorful attention during the event while on special display during the Ontario winemaking campaign.
The wine contest is currently being promoted in store and a high turnout is anticipated. In addition to the poster printing advertising in store, carefully written printed signage will promote the bodies and aromas of the various wines so that customers can make an informed vote.
The LCBO is an example of a company that makes constructive use of printed means to promote its selection of products. Independent reviews of all wines in the Ontario Pinot Noirs contest are also printed in local newspaper publications and selected varieties are featured in the LCBO’s seasonal publication Food & Drink Magazine.
