The event is designed to bring together employers and jobseekers from throughout the Guelph region. Prospective employers will apply to appear at the expo, which expects hundreds of jobseekers, and they will be approved and announced in advance. All appearing jobs will be hourly or contracted positions and not piecework.
Job seekers of all ages will be welcome, with local highschoolers attending through school programs. Attendees are encouraged to look their best and come prepared with Business Cards, resumes, and Stationery to complete job applications. Promotional material for the event aims at local employers as well as those looking for jobs:

The Career Education Council holds events for particular neighbourhoods and areas within Guelph throughout the year, all leading up to this city-wide event. The charitable organization works with government programs like Canada Summer Jobs to help connect employers and job-seekers. The Council also hosts ongoing job skills and placement programs such as Connect-ED Working Circles, THRIVE in the Workplace, and Your Pathways, Your Choice.
The 2023 edition of Guelph Works Epic Job Fair will take place on the afternoon of May 10 at the Delta Hotels by Marriott Guelph Conference Centre.
