While New Year's Eve was once reserved for adults to let their hair down, an increasing number of celebrations are being organized for families to enjoy together. There will be two events taking place in Guelph to mark the occasion, both of which have lots to offer for people of all ages.
The first is a New Year's Eve fireworks display in Riverside Park. It is the last night of Sparkles in the Park, which is put on by the Rotary Club of Guelph. The park is decorated with more than 30,000 lights and other festive displays. Guests can either enjoy the light by driving or walking through; the fireworks will begin at 8:00pm.
In January, the Mayor's New Year's Levee is being held at Market Square. Mayor Karen Farbridge will be attending and there will be lots of family-friendly activities to take part in. This will include face painting, crafts, live entertainment, free hot chocolate and cookies, and outdoor skating.
Both of the events will offer great ways to welcome the New Year with a bang. When celebrations such as these are held in Guelph, organizers often invest in services such as flyer and banner printing from local printing companies to help advertise proceedings or to decorate the venue.
