The Guelph Farmer’s Market will be bringing back its Holiday Market special edition this December for a second time.
The Night Market is advertised as a “Sip & Shop” event, encouraging visitors to partake in special holiday-themed drinks, with both alcoholic and non-alcoholic options available. The market will consist of regular vendors as well as special guests, including artists and artisans providing unique holiday gifts. The first 30 guests to arrive will receive a “Christmas Swag Bag”, and there will also be a Giveaway Basket awarded that includes items from numerous local businesses. Admission will be for free for all attendees.
The Holiday Market launched in 2021, with the first edition including live musical artists such as CJ Cooper, The Hazy Maidens and children’s musician Mr. J, as well as food stalls Fo’ Cheezy and Beaver Tails. Holiday markets like this are typically promoted through methods such as flyer printing and social media, and are a popular way to find rare gifts, as well as artisanal foodstuffs for end-of-year get-togethers. They are also a major opportunity for local crafters and small businesses. More information on vendors and entertainment is likely to be announced in the lead-up to the event.
The second annual Guelph Holiday Market will take place on the evening of Friday, December 9 at the Victoria Park East Golf Club.
