The Guelph Film Festival is about to take place over eight days this month.
The festival is set to present films of all types and that will appeal to people of all ages. There will be documentaries, cartoons, and independent dramas.
It will kick off with two days of concerts and film viewings. The first day is ‘A Night of Colour’, which will feature a concert by the Lemon Bucket Orkestra and the showing of the documentary ‘Brimstone and Glory’. Ticket prices range from $20 to $30.
The next night will be ‘A Night for Drama’. Timber Timbre will be performing and the film ‘Spettacola’ will be screened. Tickets are $29 up to $39, and both events will be held at Mitchell Hall.
Among the other programming this year are ‘Birth of a Family’, which will be shown at the Art Gallery of Guelph and Morning Cartoons at the Bookshelf Cinema. ‘Bugs: a Gastronomic Adventure’ will also be screened at the Boarding House Gallery, and will be preceded by a food tasting and a cultural walk. Tickets are $50 each.
