The Guelph Film Festival is taking place next month for nine days.
The festival is dedicated to documentary film. It will feature showings of films from around the world and short videos. There will also be panel discussions with filmmakers and pocket films, which are 10-minute shorts. Hidden Histories will showcase local film projects such as Royal City Summer 2000. Other films that will be screened over the nine-day festival are set to include ‘What is Democracy?’ from Canada and ‘United Skates’, a film about roller skating rinks from the United States. There will also be Saturday morning cartoons and tiny docs
The opening night party will take place at Brothers Brewing on November 2, beginning at 9:00 PM, and there will be a viewing of Royal City Summer 2000. Guests will also have the opportunity to meet some of the filmmakers.
There will also be a closing night party to be held at The Children’s Art Factory on November 10, starting at 9:30 PM.
The ticket prices for the films range from free up to $45, and some films ask viewers to pay what they can.
