St. John’s film buffs and families alike may want to make sure they have their folding and camp chairs ready for an activity series that will be running throughout July.
The Reel Downtown Outdoor Movie Series will take place on Monday evenings during July, and everyone is welcome to attend. They are being hosted on a complimentary basis thanks to the financial support of the businesses that make up the Downtown St. John’s Business Commission.
Those who take part can bring their folding chairs and refreshments to enjoy while they watch “stars under the stars”, and if they arrive early, they can secure a good spot and purchase a bite to eat from one of the neighbourhood’s eateries. The schedule opens with “Skeet”, and also includes “Michael”. Additional titles will be released at a later date. A scheduled screening may be canceled in bad weather, and the Downtown St. John’s social media will be used to keep the public informed if this occurs.
Many communities in Canada have special outdoor movie or concert activities planned for the summer season. A poster printing company can craft materials that keep the public informed about upcoming events so they can make their plans accordingly.
Reel Downtown will be following the popular Canadian tradition of outdoor movie nights starting on July 6th. They will also be held on July 13th, 20th and 27th on Water Street.
