Winnipeg event to welcome thrifty families
Raising a family can be a pricey preposition, but a Winnipeg event may come to the rescue for the local area.
The Manitoba Families of Multiples is a support and advocacy organization for families with twins, triplets and more, and it has scheduled its semi-annual sale for this spring. It will be a chance for parents and guardians to score clothing, equipment and other gear at a bargain price, and there will be lots of merchandise available.
Admission to the sale will be free, and the shoppers can expect to find everything from pyjamas to strollers, maternity clothing, wagons, bikes, books, puzzles and toys for youngsters from babies up to teenagers. Cash or debit will both be accepted, and it's recommended that everyone bring along a plastic tote or bin to cry their purchases. It will be open to the public starting at 10:30 am, and the Power Hour, which will start at 1:30 pm, will see any remaining items sold at half price.
A pop up parent’s market gives thrifty families a fun and easy way to stay on budget. Signage, tee shirts and lanyards for volunteers and other promotional products for an activity can be prepared by a printer, and it will be able to incorporate a logo design or other graphics.
The semi-annual Manitoba Families of Multiples will help this coming April, and the exact date will be released soon. It’s scheduled for the River East Arena.
