Winnipeg plans plant sale pop-up

Winnipeg’s East Kildonan Garden Club offers learning opportunities and other activities all year round, and to help fund its efforts, it will be welcoming the public at its upcoming Plant Sale pop-up market.

The organization will be helping Winnipeg residents to fill their plots with an assortment of perennials and other plants. They will all have a local provenance, and will be well suited to the growing conditions that tend to be found in the area.

The shoppers that drop by to pick up some plants will find a wide selection of species and cultivars, and they will be dug directly from the gardens of group members. There will also be vegetable starts and sprouted canna lily tubers available for as long as supplies last, and there will also be a limited supply of Bags of soil. Plant collectors may find some surprises that catch their interest, and the activity will begin at 6:00 pm.

Along with the rest of the fun, the plant sale will feature the excitement of a raffle. Organizers may use bespoke Letterheads for donations requests, and companies may be happy to donate branded Corporate Gifts in kind to use as draw prizes.

The East Kildonan Garden Club will run its annual pop-up plant sale on May 27th at 460 Munroe Avenue. Everyone is welcome to drop by and “shop ‘til they drop”.
