Winnipeg’s Wildwood Park Community Centre offers a variety of opportunities for environmental learning, and those considering starting their own seeds at home may want to make sure they attend an upcoming session.
The venue will be exploring the ins and outs of seed staring, and a representative of Prairie Bee Gardens will be stopping by to share their expertise. The session is intended to be both fun and informative, and the learning will be hands-on.
The Seed Starting Basics Workshop will open with a presentation that explores the basics of starting plants from seed for the home gardener, and everyone will receive a tray so they can get started before the activity wraps up. All of the materials that are needed, including seed inserts, trays, humidity domes and other supplies, will be provided, and everyone can choose from vegetable and flower options. The attendees will be able to both save money and get a jump start on the growing season.
Gardening and other hobby-related workshops may attract a lot of attention, and they provide a fun way for those interested to learn some new skills and techniques. Handouts are often distributed during these events, and can be prepared by local Stationery printers.
This chance for Winnipeg gardeners to become more savvy when it comes to seed starting is scheduled for April 12th. Tickets for the workshop are available through its Eventbrite listing.
