When they do their holiday shopping this year, Winnipeg residents may be able to find just the right gift for everyone on their list, all the while giving local animals in need a helping hand.
The Winter Maker’s Market that will take place at the Deer Lodge Community Centre will be providing space for at least 25 vendors to set up shop. Admission is $2.00 each, and the activity’s festive atmosphere will help get everyone into the holiday spirit.
As well as the opportunity to show some love to local small businesses while enjoying some retail therapy, the market will feature a drop box for donations of pet food, and there will also be adoptable cats present, hoping to find a forever home in time for the holidays. A bake sale, hot cocoa bar and even split draw will add more fun to the day, and the function will serve as a fundraiser for Tails of Freedom Rescue, Inc.
Pop-up markets are a common sight in the lead up to the winter holiday season. A poster printing company can craft marketing materials that may be posted throughout the community to help build the buzz about such an upcoming activity.
The Tails of Freedom Rescue’s Whisker Wonderland & Winter Maker’s Market is scheduled for November 23rd. The doors will open to shoppers at 10:00 am, and all ages are welcome.
