Winnipeg kids who would like to give horseback riding a try will soon be able to do so, and their parents are invited to join in the fun too.
The Parent and Me Learn to Ride program gives kids from ages four to eight, along with their parents or guardians, a chance to learn the basics or horseback riding. Each of the six sessions will run for one hour, and there will be four days to choose from.
The participants in these weekly activities will learn the fundamentals of horse care, including grooming and tack-up. During the rides, which will be guided by a coach, parents will lead their child as they navigate a course with different obstacles and games to enjoy as they go. The function will take place in a heated arena if it is cold, and each lesson will have between four and five learners. A fee of $100 is required to reserve a spot, and the rest of the registration fee will need to be paid at a later date.
Stationery printers can supply Copies of legal documents such as liability waivers for the attendees to sign, as well as registration and contact Forms, for a class like this.
The staff at Sagehill Stables will introduce families to horseback riding starting on April 11th. Its online listing includes links to register, as well as additional information.
