Vancouver sets date for vermouth crafting class

Vermouth can be enjoyed on its own or as part of a mixed cocktail, and an upcoming Vancouver workshop will offer a deep dive into preparing this beverage.

As the winter holiday season approaches, Vancouver’s Flavour Forge will be running a hands-on vermouth crafting class. Anyone who would like to prepare a non-alcoholic version will be able to do so, and the session will be facilitated by a subject matter expert.

The workshop will explore the history and uses of this aperitif, and the attendees will learn how different botanicals and aromatics can be used to produce different flavour profiles. The group will have the chance to sample different vermouths that are available commercially, and everyone will find out how and where to source ingredients. They will learn how to blend and infuse the beverage to create their own custom blend, and tickets are $75.00 per person and $135.00 for two. The class will run for two hours.

Cocktail fans and other foodies may appreciate the chance to enjoy the deep dive culinary experience often offered during a workshop. Ingredient lists, custom Drinkware, recipe cards and other items for a learning session can be prepared by a printing services company.

The ‘Unlock the Secrets of Vermouth: A Hands-On Experience!’ workshop will begin at 7:15 pm on November 21st. The venue will be 1 Athletes Way, and anyone who would like to prepare the non-alcoholic version is asked to contact the organizers.
