For the 22nd year running, the Vancouver Education & Career Fair will take place this December.
The event acts as both a showcase for new developments within the field of education, a way for schools to provide information to prospective applicants, and an opportunity for networking and hiring.
The fair will involve over 50 schools, industry associations, and other employers. The diverse array of exhibitors includes prestigious Canadian schools like the University of British Columbia and the University of Western Ontario, as well as more unexpected organizations like Le Cordon Bleu and fashion chain Ardene.
Features will include the Learning Lounge, featuring talks from guest speakers, and the Digital Arts Interactive Gallery, which provides a hands-on sample of fields like graphic design and interior decorating. The fair is hosted by Education & Career Fairs, an organization that also hosts fairs across BC in cities such as Victoria, Surrey, Nanaimo, and Kelowna.
The career fair will take place on December 7 at the Vancouver Convention Centre East. Organizers have extended a welcome to jobseekers from Vancouver, surrounding areas like Burnaby and North Vancouver, and beyond to come with Business Cards and resumés. They invite those both with and without experience in the field of education, including new immigrants and high school students who may be trying to decide which universities to apply to.
