An activity that parents and kids can enjoy together will soon welcome North Vancouver families, and while they have fun, the participants will be learning about the pollinators that share their environment.
Lynn Canyon Ecology Centre offers an assortment of nature-based learning opportunities through its Discovery Days, and in July, it will be offering its Busy & Buzzy session. It is geared towards youngsters between the ages of 3 and 8, and a parent or guardian needs to be on site with them.
The facilitator will introduce animals such as hummingbirds, beetles, moths and butterflies, including where they can be found. Everyone can find out how they play a vital role in their ecosystem by serving as effective pollinators, and also how they can make them feel welcome in their own garden. A make and take, walk and story reading are all on the agenda, and the registration fee is $16.00 for each parent and child.
Providing hands-on activities can make learning fun, and a printing services company will be pleased to provide custom materials and other support. It can supply everything from Letterheads to pop-up canopies and more.
